Our Story: The Nadi Chess Club (NCC) was started in 2010 by a small but dedicated group of chess enthusiasts who saw the potential for a formal, thriving chess structure in Nadi and Fiji’s entire Western Division. It was officially registered in 2023 as Nadi Chess Pte Limited.
We began with a few boards and a handful of dedicated players meeting in a local cafe. We aim to grow into the Oceania region’s leading chess organization, known for nurturing young talent, hosting major tournaments, and fostering intellectual growth within the community.
Mission Statement: To promote the game of chess as a tool for intellectual development, social engagement, and competitive excellence among people of all ages in Nadi and throughout Fiji.
Vision: To be the leading chess club in Fiji, consistently producing top-tier national and international players while making the profound benefits of chess accessible to every community member.
